British Gypsum, part of the Saint-Gobain group, debuted a range of innovations at Ecobuild 2013 (5-7 March 2013, ExCeL, London) including its Gyptone ACTIVair ceiling range.

One of the latest additions to the plaster and drylining manufacturers’ portfolio, the range is purpose designed to improve indoor air quality within large commercial and public sector spaces.

The Gyptone ACTIVair ceiling range features a mineral additive that converts and stores volatile organic compounds (VOCs), thus making it a key addition to the company’s range of solutions for major public and commercial environments.

To emphasise its benefits within high occupancy communal buildings such as schools, the Gyptone ACTIVair ceiling range featured in the ‘Education’ area of the Saint-Gobain stand.

Other zones across the stand included: Renovation, which showcased British Gypsum’s Gyproc ThermaLine SUPER solution; Office, featuring its Gyptone BASE Curve ceiling; and New Build which incorporated the company’s innovative Glasroc H Tilebacker system.

Commenting on the success of the show, Natalie Davenport, head of marketing communications at British Gypsum, said: “Ecobuild offered a great platform for customers to find out more about our latest solutions and technologies like ACTIVair, and understand their benefits across a variety of spaces, environments and scenarios.

WIt was also a fantastic opportunity to update specifiers on recent advances in our responsible sourcing certification, after we achieved BES 6001 ‘very good’ for a core range of products. This now means customers can receive more points and credits as part of BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes, plus be reassured that the solutions they are using day to day are supplied in an ethical and sustainable way.”
