The UK play industries will be showcasing the latest innovations in play equipment and safety surfacing at PlayFair 2014.

PlayFair is the UK's largest annual trade event for all those involved in the procurement and maintenance of children's play equipment and safety surfacing.

It showcases new developments in play area design, equipment and safety surfacing, and takes place at Royal Windsor Racecourse from 2-4 September 2014.

PlayFair is owned by the Association of Play Industries (API) www.api-play.org, the voice of the UK play industry.  Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the API represents manufacturers, installers, designers and distributors of outdoor and indoor play equipment and safety surfacing.  It campaigns at the highest levels for policy recognition of the value of play.  Its members are committed to the vital role of play in tackling the nation’s catastrophic physical inactivity epidemic.

API Chairman Michael Hoenigmann says: “PlayFair is the highlight of the play year.  It provides a fantastic opportunity for play buyers to see the latest play equipment close-up and get advice from leading play industry experts.  Every API member company believes in the contribution that high-quality play equipment has to make in getting children active as early in their lives as possible.”

To provide peace of mind and reassurance of the highest quality, standards and service, the API will be urging play buyers to insist on API membership when specifying play projects and procurement tenders.  API member companies:

Now in its seventh year, PlayFair will take place alongside SALTEX (Sports, Amenities and Landscaping Trades Exhibition) to offer a one-stop-shop for buyers and specifiers of outdoor facilities. A total of 8,500 visitors attended SALTEX last year with over 25 per cent looking to buy playground equipment and services.
