Cedar Court Hotels has appointed a new proactive sales team headed up by Louise Wright, former Director of Sales at both De Vere and Q Hotels, to bring a fresh approach to sales across what is Yorkshire’s largest hotel collection.

The new sales team will be taking a forthright attitude to attracting new meetings and events business, as well as helping maintain excellent relationships with existing clients, and the move represents Cedar Court Hotels’ determination to adapt to the new market.

The new team includes Natalie McGuire, who will work as Agency Sales Manager representing all of the hotels in the Cedar Court collection, a new role created by the Cedar Court Group showing that demonstrates its commitment to agencies. The restructure also brings two new Area Sales Managers with a focus of promoting the group covering regional and National territory.

In addition to the creation of a new sales team, Cedar Court Hotels has also implemented sales training across the group to ensure that all staff across the group - from the General Managers to Sales Managers to front-of-house staff - are taking advantage of potential sales opportunities.

New Cedar Court Hotels Sales Director Louise Wright said: “My role as Sales Director for Cedar court is to drive sales from all market segments into our five properties and develop a strong culture of sales with all employees across the brand.

“My role supports the investment the group are making in both product and staff to increase brand awareness in Yorkshire and beyond.

“I am really motivated to be working with a group with so much opportunity and having restructured the sales team for the group there is a real buzz and excitement in the air both within the team and at hotel level for the future.”

The creation of the new proactive sales team represents a significant step in an important period of change for Yorkshire’s largest independent hotel collection.

Over the next five years, significant investment will be made into each of its four star hotels in Wakefield, Huddersfield/Halifax, Leeds/Bradford and Harrogate, ensuring that these popular hotels continue to meet and exceed guest expectation.

These enhancements come in the wake of the hugely successful £25m launch of the five star Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa, York.
