Messagemaker has increased the interactivity of its digital LED signs and displays by providing direct control from a mobile device.

The new instant messaging solution utilises the TwittLED range of moving message displays and so also offers the capability to stream live Twitter feeds.

Messagemaker has harnessed the functionality and speed of Twitter to introduce real-time messaging from mobile phones and tablets into retail display and signage applications.

Incorporated into graphic or full text displays, messages appear on a rolling ticker - providing constant updates in-store, in window displays or at strategic points in shopping centres and on entry from shopper car parks. Up to ten promotional messages or ‘tweets’ can be displayed at any one time.

Based on the technology that powers Twitter, the new TwittLED signs can be set to run on a closed loop only, directing messages to a given location or multiple sites with the capability to run only private content and to restrict playback by assigning displays to a designated group. Managing content is simple and flexible from a mobile device, so fitting in with your schedules and allowing you to react quickly or fine-tune promotions as required.

The content of the display can be controlled from a PC, tablet or mobile phone.  You can also moderate messages and offers, tweet or retweet from anywhere, at any time – even when you are away on business or on holiday!

Instantly connect with customers and draw in traffic by broadcasting breaking news of events. special promotions and time-limited offers. Installed in shop windows digital displays with a scrolling feed provide an impactful way to promote your business and brand build 24/7.

Also suitable for in store, on concourses or for outdoor use, Messagemaker’s new TwittLED Twitter displays are available in a range of sizes and colours.  Alternatively, they can be custom-made to suit individual requirements.

Comments Harry Filer, MD of Messagemaker Displays:  “The introduction of the new range of mobile controlled, Twitter-compatible signs is an exciting new development for us and one which we will hope will offer added value to our clients as well as giving them a competitive edge.”
