Property maintenance specialist Novus Property Solutions has successfully been working in partnership with Birmingham’s busy Hyatt Hotel to redecorate 319 rooms and 19 corridors over a 10-month period.

Novus has been completing pre-paint repairs at the hotel on Bridge Street and has painted walls, ceilings and woodwork in rooms and corridors, along with carrying out skim-coat plastering to corridor walls and hanging specialist wall coverings to corridors.

The Novus team has also been renewing hinge detail to 418 service doors, has applied mastic seals to bathrooms and repaired and repolished enamel baths as part of the contract, valued at £210,000.

The work Novus is carrying out at the Hyatt Hotel will result in all rooms and corridors being of a uniformed, high-quality appearance with all areas perfectly matching the hotel’s polished, sleek branding.

Close working relationships built between Novus and Hyatt have assisted the smooth running of the contract and ensured all work is progressing to schedule, that minimal disruption is caused to the running of the hotel and that guests remain undisturbed.

Darren Bowkett, operations manager at Novus, said: “Novus’ work at the Hyatt Hotel is progressing to schedule and we are ensuring that minimal disruption is caused to the running of the business and that guests remain undisturbed.

“We have built close working relationships with our contacts at Hyatt, which have assisted with the smooth running of the contract. Working on projects like this means we can demonstrate our very high standard of work and shows we can work in busy, live environments without interrupting daily business.”
