Roca's range of robust yet stylish bathroom products have been used to withstand sandy guests at Twitterings, a high-end beach-side holiday home in West Wittering, near Chichester.
Designed by Hawkes Architects, Twittering's sleeps eight to ten people, comprising four bedrooms and four bathrooms - en suites, shower rooms and a family bathroom.
With a contemporary, beach-house style, featuring quirky design touches, such as porthole windows and ‘Sussex-style' weatherboarding, it was important that the bathroom sanitaryware and furniture was functional, but also fitted in with the overall look and feel of the building.
Tony Bradbury, Twittering's owner, explained why Roca was the perfect choice: "With Twitterings' close proximity to the sea and sandy beach we knew that the bathrooms would be a very important part of the house. We needed bathrooms and shower rooms that could handle high-volume usage, while providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for guests after a day at the coast.
"Roca's products were recommended to us by the architect, Richard Hawkes - he has them in his own home. After a visit to the Roca London Gallery in Chelsea, we found just the right furniture and sanitaryware to go with our beach-house style, which is fairly minimal and uncluttered. We've been very pleased with the quality and look of all the products, and our guests all comment on how great the bathrooms are."
Roca products used include GAP wall-hung WC's and basins, to provide a clean, clutter-free look. L20 mixer taps, save water and energy thanks to built-in flow restriction and Cold Start function, which prevents the boiler from heating water unnecessarily.
Roca's Duo Heavy Gauge Steel bath, including built-in sound reduction, ensures guests can enjoy a relaxing soak without the ‘tinny' noise often associated with enamel tubs.
The architect, Richard Hawkes concluded: "I recommended Roca through my own good experience with the brand. While stylish, their products are robust and durable, making them ideal for a high-end rental property like Twitterings."
