Leading manufacturer, TigerTurf UK has completed the successful production of a specialist hockey surface for Lindum Sports Association, Lincoln.
Lindum Sports Association decided to invest in a premier sports surface after receiving a £235,717 grant of National Lottery funding from Sport England to assist with rejuvenating their facilities.
As a hub for local sport, Lindum organises clubs for a variety of activities and has cricket, rugby, hockey, and squash at its core. The new surface is set to be the home turf for Lincoln Hockey Club, as well as Lincoln Roses Hockey club, for training and playing competitive games.
TigerTurf UK recommended a bespoke Evo Pro Hockey surface which was installed in partnership with sports contractor Smith Construction. Providing longer life expectancy than any other product on the market, TigerTurf’s Evo Pro system uses advanced fibre technology, making it an exceptional product for elite level Hockey. Installed with a special sand dressing, Evo Pro is also fully compliant with the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) National standard – guaranteeing professional quality player interaction and a satisfactory standard for international matches and/or tournaments.
Paul Langford, Managing Director at TigerTurf UK commented: “It’s great to see charities such as Lindum having the investment to deliver a variety of sports to their communities. We are confident that that new sports surface will perform for Lindum for many years to come and wish all the local teams every success.”
Smith Construction also installed fencing, floodlighting, and a 30 space car park and the project was completed ahead of schedule under the expert guidance of Neil McHugh of MUGA UK Ltd, the pitch consultant for this project.
