Proving that laminate continues to be a fashion-forward material, designer Osman Yousefzada chose Bushboard’s Calacatta Marble as the backdrop for his Osman catwalk show at the prestigious Top Shop Showspace during London Fashion Week last month.

Usually found in kitchens, a Bushboard Calacatta Marble worktop was ingeniously remodelled to create a 5200 x 400 x 400mm planter, plus a Bushboard Calacatta Marble Nuance wall panel – more at home in bathrooms and wetrooms - was transformed into a 2200 x 900mm catwalk partition wall.

Stuart White, Managing Director at Bushboard, said: “We were delighted to help with such a prestigious project. The designer was looking for products that look stylish and extremely realistic, but that could be quickly manufactured and easily installed on-site.

"Due to the flexibility and durability of our Calacatta Marble worktops and wall panels, we were able to fabricate the planter and partition wall in a very short timescale and deliver them to London in good time, ready for them to be constructed. They looked very much at home in situ on the catwalk.”

Bushboard’s Calacatta Marble products mirror the look of real marble but a much lower price point. The Prima laminate worktops feature Bushboard's Q3 edge profile which delivers a crisper, squarer front edge and enhances the look of marble designs, making it ideal for the catwalk planters.

Nuance wall panels are available in a range of widths, are easy to handle and can be fitted from floor to ceiling without any extrusions, resulting in large expanses of decorative surface. Its lightweight handling and realistic looks made it the perfect choice for the catwalk partition wall.
