The organisers of the Structural Timber Awards put out a final call for entries.

With the extended deadline for submissions fast approaching on 12 June 2015 - the Awards have attracted entries from project and products large and small but all have one thing in common - timber.

From entries for the new BSkyB Believe in Better Building project to the tallest cross laminated timber residential development in Europe, to Whipsnade Zoo's elephant and gorilla enclosures and the 42 metre high glulam arch at the Leeds Recycling & Energy Recovery Facility - nothing is too large, small or unusual.

The prestigious event provides one of the most effective platforms for targeting the timber industry, presenting the ideal opportunity for you to maximise industry exposure and penetrate this economically important market.

The free to enter Structural Timber Awards will reward outstanding projects, innovative products and dynamic people - all promoting excellence in structural timber across the UK.

Across key sectors of construction, the Awards will showcase innovation, celebrate best practice and recognise expertise in timber technology and the ways it contributes to an attractive, energy efficient and sustainable built environment.

The Awards will be presented at a high profile dinner on Tuesday 6 October 2015 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham. As an inaugural major event in the timber calendar, the event will attract 500 national business leaders and high profile decision makers from the construction industry.
