Addagrip approved contractor Total Protection Ltd was appointed by Gibbs Surfacing to undertake 571m2 of Resin Bound surfacing to the new Eastern Entrance as part of the redevelopment of Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire.
The racecourse, which was established in 1905, will benefit from new entrances that will form a major part of the ‘heartspace’ redevelopment benefiting all racegoers who visit Newbury.
Construction of a new Eastern entrance was completed in July 2017 providing access from Car Park 4 on racedays and event days. As part of the project, BBA approved Addaset resin bound porous surfacing was selected to provide a decorative, low maintenance, hard wearing surface that would be suitable for the racecourse’s many visitors.
The selected Rhine Gold Addaset blend provides a practical, modern surfacing solution with a natural aggregate feel to reflect the combination of the heritage of the racecourse with its status as a modern sporting and events venue.
