LED-ing from the front

The centrepiece for the Oracle Red Bull Racing Paddock Club is a ‘larger-than-life’ 10m2 Ultra HD Philips dvLED videowall, built and designed exclusively for the hospitality team. Measuring 4.85m wide and 2.05m high, the 48 cabinet, 1.5 pixel, 8 x 6 Philips L-Line 9000 Series dvLED wall has been a game-changer for the venue, delivering an unrivalled, immersive experience for VIP guests, while reducing set-up times from days to just a few hours.

The Philips dvLED display is built into two separate, unique and highly durable flight cases, designed by PPDS and built in partnership with fellow NL-based firm, AMPCO Flashlight, allowing for a ‘pop-up-pop-down’ installation and de-installation, while ensuring safe transportation between races. In total, three portable dvLED videowall solutions have been built by PPDS, allowing Oracle Red Bull Racing teams ample transportation time ahead of each F1 race weekend.

Christian Horner, Team Principal at Oracle Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology, said: “We always look for our partners’ cultures to have synergies with our own. Both Oracle Red Bull Racing and PPDS strive for excellence and working together with our teams to bring high performance is a shared quality. Our teams and our guests have been delighted by the super-sized Philips LED walls, delivering crystal clear pictures in stunning HD that bring all the action of the racetrack and the pit lane into the Paddock Club itself.”

Completing the VIP experience, other displays featured in the Paddock Club include 4x Philips MediaSuite professional TVs, 7x Philips AOC gaming monitors and x6 Philips 222B9T touch monitors, for a variety of experiences, including two Oracle Red Bull Racing driving simulators.
