Anglian Building Products has been awarded the window and door lots on Powys County Council’s Maintenance Framework.

Anglian will replace existing timber windows with PVC-u casement windows and composite doors to properties spread across the North and South of the county.

Powys County Council is one of the largest providers of affordable rented housing in Wales with around 5,400 properties spread over 2,000 square miles. It is also one of the most sparsely populated local authority areas within Wales.

The council’s framework has been developed in line with the Welsh Housing Quality(WHQ) standard to bring their properties up to a WHQ standard and will include the replacement of kitchens, bathrooms, roofing and electrics. Works will also be carried to the open areas surrounding the properties to provide a safe and secure environment for their residents.

“It’s great to win another substantial window contract in Wales’ said John Fairweather, Anglian Sales Director “building on our successes with both the Integrate Consortium and Pembrokeshire County Council framework.”

The project is valued at £2.5m and will run for the next three years.
