The latest fire door regulation guidance and best practice advice will be on offer to professionals coming to FIREX, along with a prize worth £500 at the Fire Door Safety Area.
The BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme and the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) are stepping up the advice available at FIREX, with free fire door safety presentations provided for attendees every hour during the exhibition.
Expert advice will be given on fire doors including regulations and obligations, fire door inspections, guidance on seals, ironmongery and glazing.
Certificated Fire Door Inspectors will be on hand to demonstrate the typical issues found with fire doors during an inspection and there will be a quiz to test your knowledge. Attendees will also be able to enter a prize draw with a free Diploma in Fire Doors up for grabs, worth £500.
A new video will be played throughout the exhibition showcasing three different scenarios of poorly installed fire doors and the consequences when they burn.
The Fire Door Installer Register will also be launched at the event as will this year’s Fire Door Safety Week, returning after a hugely successful campaign last year.
John Fletcher, BWF-CERTIFIRE scheme manager, said: “We’ve really packed out our time at FIREX this year as we strive to get the fire door safety message across.
"Everyone needs to understand the critical role a fire door plays as part of a building’s passive fire protection and we are looking forward to giving advice and guidance to all visitors.”
BWF-CERTIFIRE and FDIS can be found at the BWF Fire Door Safety Area at Stand U600 from 17 to 19 June
