Are you an Ecobuild exhibitor showcasing a true innovation for the sustainable built environment?

If so, Marks & Spencer (M&S) wants to hear about it as they embark on the hunt for solutions to apply to their existing estate.

A joint initiative between M&S and Ecobuild, The Big Innovation Pitch, is aiming to unearth a true sustainable innovation across Ecobuild’s 800+ exhibitors.

Consisting of three heats, The Big Innovation Pitch launches with a call for entries from UK and international companies who should go to www.ecobuild.co.uk  to apply.

Munish Datta, Head of Plan A and Facilities Management at M&S, said: “Innovation plays a very important part in enabling M&S to create a sustainable built environment. The Big Innovation Pitch provides a fantastic, differentiating platform to showcase next gen products & services at Ecobuild.”

Entries close on 28 January 2015. M&S will then begin the short listing process and invite a number of companies to present their solutions on Tuesday 10 February 2015.

The final heat culminates on Ecobuild’s show floor as finalists participate in a live pitch to an expert judging panel including senior representation from M&S and other leading industry voices.

M&S will work with the winning company to investigate applying the winning product or service in its buildings.

Alison Jackson, Group Director of Sustainability and Construction, Ecobuild, said: “We are thrilled to be working with M&S to showcase and reward companies exhibiting true innovations at the 2015 event. As the marketplace for sustainable design, construction and energy, attracting over 44,000 buyers every year, Ecobuild is the perfect launch pad for innovation whatever the size of company. From start-ups and two-man bands in our Greenshoots area, to large Private Limited Companies, Ecobuild represents technologies and solutions from across the entire sustainable built environment. We can’t wait to see your entries.”

If successful in the first round, entrants must be available to attend a presentation in London on Tuesday 10 February.
