Ibstock Brick, the UK’s largest brickmaker, will be exhibiting a range of some of its most innovative products at EcoBuild 2013 on stand N1110, as part of its commitment to showcase the sustainability and flexibility of clay.
Taking centre stage at EcoBuild will be Ibstock’s relaunched Linear long thin brick range, the ground-breaking BrickShield external wall insulation system and Elementix Express, Ibstock’s rainscreen cladding system.
Distinct design solution
The Linear range, relaunched and expanded to 76 bricks in different colours, textures and sizes is aimed at the architectural market. Consisting of longer, thinner bricks, they give a dramatic elongated effect which accentuates the linearity of a façade. The range’s distinctive dimensions, which includes lengths up to 490mm, give complete flexibility and extends the design options available for any building exterior.
Bring brick to the fore
BrickShield is an innovative external wall insulation system. Well suited to older properties with solid external walls, BrickShield thermally upgrades the property but allows owners to keep a real brick finish, so is ideal for use as part of the Green Deal and ECO. For 2013, the offering has been increased and now includes a range of traditional features. This ‘Traditions’ range has been launched to help preserve the overall external look of an area or building and allows the home owner to retain older features such as stone quoins, heads and cills and brick arches.
Façade flexibility
And finally, Elementix is a comprehensive range of clay rainscreen cladding systems developed to offer the specifier unrivalled choice in façade finishes. A sustainable product, Elementix Express is a unique system which is fast to build with a range of clay, stone and glazed tiles available. All Elementix rainscreens have been engineered for speed of construction, durability and low maintenance and are tested to the CWCT standard, with the products on display demonstrating a UK manufactured rainscreen system.
Situated at stand N1110, Ibstock will also have on show an interactive augmented reality experience that will allow visitors to view step by step instructions and tips for the optimum installation of BrickShield.
Andrew Halstead-Smith, marketing manager at Ibstock, said: “EcoBuild really is the biggest specification event of the year for us and provides the ideal opportunity to bring some of the most innovative products from our range to those that can benefit from them most. We want to highlight the fact that brick is the original sustainable material, and a fantastic solution, whatever the aim of a project’s design.”
The company, which will be exhibiting alongside leading designer and manufacturer of high integrity steel products, Ancon, offers an unrivalled choice of almost 500 different competitively priced products, all of which are highly sustainable.
