Siniat, formerly Lafarge Plasterboard, is set to launch its first major innovation since the company overhauled its image in 2012. The product, which takes inspiration from the company’s bold new look and commitment to efficient construction, will be unveiled at Ecobuild on Tuesday 5 March where it will be on show at Siniat’s stand (N1230).
The company revamped its name and branding following its acquisition by the Etex Group and is showcasing its look, products and sustainability expertise at the event.
Siniat’s technical specialists will be available to discuss its innovative systems for retrofitting for thermal insulation. The company has an extensive range of UK-manufactured products for increasing the energy efficiency of buildings: a key topic as designers and specifiers gear up for widespread retrofitting programmes.
The company will also be demonstrating the applications of its specialist products, which include GTEC Aqua Board, the UK’s first plasterboard for high-humidity and wet area applications, and GTEC LaDura, Siniat’s strongest ever plasterboard, which is ideal for extreme duty areas. Both are changing the way the industry specifies for partitions, opening new cost-saving potential for building more efficiently.
Steve Hemmings, sustainability and compliance manager for Siniat, comments: “Sustainability is at the heart of our business. Plasterboard is infinitely recyclable and lightweight and many drywall systems increase the thermal efficiency of the buildings in which they're installed. All of which makes Ecobuild the ideal opportunity to launch our latest innovation.
“Plasterboard systems have a huge role to play in the future of our industry and we’re excited about bringing our latest developments, and sustainability expertise, to Ecobuild this year.”
