The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is supporting INTERIORS UK 2013, (NEC, Birmingham, 20-23 January 2013) with BIID President Sue Timney speaking as part of the event’s inspiring seminar programme.

Set to be a highlight of the event, Sue Timney’s talk, ‘Outside the Box’, will take place on Sunday 20th January at 11am. Sue will be delving into her career, looking back at her journey and explaining how she has arrived as the interior designer she is today.

As BIID President, Sue will be sharing a wealth of industry knowledge with delegates and through her talk will be exploring the different routes into the interior design arena, looking specifically at the new BIID Professional Pathway launching next year. She will also consider her experience as a Professor at the RCA and working with different cross-disciplinary professionals, investigating how these experiences have helped shaped her practice and on a wider scale how they have also shaped the industry.

“Along with many in our profession, I am very much looking forward to INTERIORS UK 2013,” says Sue Timney, BIID President. “Interiors UK is a great platform for us as an organisation to reach interior designers, architects, retailers, and contractors and discuss the interior design industry and how the institute is pushing it forward. The 2012 event proved a great success and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for next year’s show.”
