Hanson Formpave’s new website offers developers and specifiers a comprehensive new resource to ensure they maximise the benefits of integrating Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) into their projects.

The updated site outlines how SUDS can be used to prevent water run-off and flooding as well as collecting and cleaning storm water – not only to comply with rising enforcement of planning and environmental regulations, but also to enhance the sustainability credentials of new developments.

The website includes animated diagrams illustrating how Formpave’s patented SUD systems, Aquaflow permeable paving (BBA certified) and Aquaflow water harvesting, can be cost-effectively integrated – helping to provide enhanced ground-stabilisation while also minimising excavation requirements and waste. The site also highlights how developers can be assured that maximum performance can be achieved by taking advantage of Formpave’s bespoke design service.

Jeremy Hughes, Hanson Formpave’s commercial manager, said: “Formpave is recognised as an innovator in the SUDS sector, but we believe that more could be done to ensure that the benefits of SUDS, and our patented systems, are readily understood at the early design and specification stages. Consequently, we see our new website as a platform to build relationships with specifiers and users to ensure they have the technical support they need.”

In addition to the new website, Hanson Formpave is offering RIBA accredited Continual Professional Development (CPD) presentations on the specification and use of its Aquaflow SUD systems. This reviews the need for SUDS, the types of system available and information on how to design a system for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. To book a CPD presentation, visit the website and click ‘book a CPD’.

As well as designing and manufacturing Aquaflow SUD systems, Hanson Formpave also offers a wide range of standard and specialist concrete block pavers, kerb systems and ancillaries sold under the Royal Forest, Chartres and Eco-Granite brand names.

The technology used, and Hanson Formpave’s quality assurance scheme, provides complete works traceability of each product.

Its Coleford Works has BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Assurance accreditation and BS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management accreditation. Hanson Formpave is a BSI registered company.
