The shortlist for the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) 2013 Awards recognising innovation and excellence in external wall insulation (EWI) have been announced at the INCA AGM.

This year saw another record number of entries and the finalists represent the leading EWI new build and refurbishment projects in the non-residential and domestic sectors over the last year.

EWI is central to improving the energy efficiency of homes and buildings in the UK in order to meet the country’s carbon reduction targets, and the INCA 2013 Awards are a great platform to promote the benefits of EWI following the launch of the Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) earlier this year.

The judging panel, comprised of industry experts including the BBA, CITB and Quality Assured National Warranties (QANW), praised the high levels of energy efficiency, innovative design and Outstanding quality of workmanship achieved by INCA members on projects which are helping to improve living standards and regenerate local communities.

Alastair Wilson, Managing Director of QANW, who was part of the judging panel, said: “The finalists in the INCA 2013 Awards showcase the best that the EWI industry has to offer.

“We are delighted to work in partnership with INCA because the continued quality shown by INCA members has put them at the forefront of transforming the energy efficiency of buildings in the UK. It was an honour to be involved in the judging process and my congratulations go to all of those that made the short list.”

The winners will be revealed at the INCA 2013 Awards Dinner on Thursday October 3 at the prestigious Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London’s Mayfair. Supported by CITB, E.ON and QANW as well as INCA members Alumasc Exterior Building Products Ltd, Astley Facades Ltd, Catnic, CCG (Scotland) Ltd, Knauf Marmorit UK and S and B EPS Ltd, the black-tie event will showcase EWI to over 200 guests from local authorities, housing associations, architects, consultants and contractors.
