JELD-WEN, the UK’s leading manufacturer of timber windows and doors, has launched a new External Joinery Manual, specifically designed to give architects and specifiers the most comprehensive and current information on its extensive range of windows, patios doorsets and external doors.
The new manual includes valuable advice on product considerations, such as fitting and finishing correctly, as well as up to date technical information to ensure products are specified accurately.
The online, easy reference format ensures that trade professionals can quickly compare windows and patio products and access information on the latest glazing options with ease.
Architects and specifiers can also access the latest window drawings and minimum and maximum size limits, as well as external doors and patio doorset drawings.
Nick Bligh, JELD-WEN Group Technical Manager, said: “We really wanted to provide architects and specifiers with an indispensable guide to our products that would simply make their jobs easier. In addition to detailed product specifications, the brochure includes helpful advice on everything, from thermal transmittance comparisons across our window and patio ranges to ventilation and acoustic information – with this latest launch, help in specifying correctly is now conveniently at hand.”
The new brochure also includes important information about the latest industry legislation and building regulations, including CE Marking – all JELD-WEN fully-finished external joinery products are CE Marked as standard.
The launch underpins JELD-WEN’s commitment to helping specifiers and architects better understand the products available to them. 2D downloadable drawings are already available on JELD-WEN’s website and three CPD seminars on timber windows, timber stairs and commercial doorsteps help professionals to understand products in even more detail.
