Longden Doors has supplied bespoke panelled timber doorsets to a luxury home in Surrey after its owners were inspired by the hand-crafted high-quality nature of the company’s products.
Highfield House was completed towards the end of 2013 and is situated in St Georges Hill where homes regularly sell for several million pounds.
Owners Mark and Lucy Woolhouse required panelled doorsets that matched the sophisticated character and design of their new home as well as meeting contemporary Building Standards.
Lucy Woolhouse, who runs interior design company L&A Life, said: “Longden Doors products are of premium quality and are beautifully made, adding significantly to the overall appearance of our home’s interior. What’s more the service was excellent; the panelled doorsets arrived on time and were in perfect condition.”
Longden Doors worked closely with the couple to ensure the most appropriate solutions were designed, supplying Chippendale raised and fielded Lincoln 3 panel doorsets throughout the house. Made by hand using traditional methods in the company’s Sheffield factory, the solid timber FD 30 fire-rated panelled doorsets combine the performance expected in a modern door with an elegant design befitting their surroundings.
Saqib Sindhu, Southern regional sales manager said: “Our panelled doorsets are made-to-measure by our staff who use time-honoured skills that have been at the core of the business since it was founded in 1838. We work closely with clients to ensure we design and manufacture a product that suits their needs and specialise in supplying to heritage projects and luxury developments such as Highfield House.”
In addition to its work at Highfield House, Longden Doors’ reputation for excellence has led to it supplying panelled timber doorsets to eight other properties on the St Georges Hill Estate during the past three years.
