One company making a significant difference to the speed at which construction projects can begin is MAXIM Eyes, the Sutton based specialist energy and communications connections consultancy, which is currently supporting GB Building Solutions in Epsom and Marlow.

Care home operator Signature Senior Lifestyle recently announced the start of a £10 million project for a new care home in Epsom, Surrey.

Due to complete in autumn 2014, this new care development is for 87 private apartments comprising a mixture of studios and one-bedroom suites, 24 of which are specifically for dementia care.

Every minute counts with projects of this scale and investment and MAXIM Eyes has been working with GB Building Solutions on the first stage of site preparation, managing the disconnections of the existing services and overseeing the provision of a temporary power supply.

Establishing a temporary power supply is one area where MAXIM Eyes can really make a difference, taking the time consuming headache of tendering away from the builder. “We support GB Building Solutions by managing the whole process from the application, tendering and quotation through to the acceptance of a supplier,” said Jeff Wilson, project coordinator at MAXIM Eyes.

"We project manage the installation and metering to ensure the timely completion of the temporary supply.  Our involvement with the Epsom project then continues with sourcing and coordinating new connections for gas, electricity, water, and telecoms."

“MAXIM Eyes really helps to reduce the timeframe and workload of starting a major construction project,” commented GB Building Solutions representative.

“We are currently working with them on two new care home projects and their team brings a level of expertise and support that means we can simply get on with the construction work.”
