Timloc Building Products continues to lead the way with its market leading range of hinged air tight loft doors offering ZERO air leakage.

Part L1A of the latest Building Regulations, concerning air tightness in new dwellings, has put increased pressure on residential builders and specifiers to ensure the use of high performance, high quality, cost effective products whilst ensuring Industry Standard Compliance.

Having recognised the need to offer assured performance long before it became obligatory, Timloc’s loft access doors have been BRE tested and certified since 2006 and in addition to Part L, they are designed and engineered to exceed all other relevant regulations and standards including BS5250, DEFRA Robust Detail and NHBC.

Air leakage in residential buildings, from doors and access points, is a significant contributor to heat loss and wasted energy. Timloc’s plastic hinged loft doors offer the most attractive solution on the market, with the 1169 range providing 0.00m3/(h.m2) air loss at 50pa.

Higher insulation versions offer U-Values of 0.35W/m2K and 0.25W/m2K and drop in doors or metal fire rated options are also available. The plastic range is insulated, draught stripped and CFC free, supplied in factory finish white with a light textured finish that allows for painting if required.

In addition to their environmental and thermal credentials, Timloc loft doors offer ease of installation and operation, low maintenance, clean aesthetic appearance and unrivalled durability and reliability, helping to save money on fuel bills and protecting the roof space from condensation.

Timloc has been manufacturing and supplying high performance building products since 1967 and has built a reputation based on quality products, excellent service and outstanding technical support. Its range of hinged air tight loft doors forms part of a complete package of Part L solutions, which also includes air tight access panels, allowing for maintenance of boiler flues, pipework and building services. Air tight access panels also facilitate compliance with Building Regulations Part J and the new Gas Safety industry requirements.

All manufacturing is carried out under the BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
