HWL Trade Frames, a leading manufacturer of windows, doors and conservatories based in Leeds, has seen success as one of only 36 fabricators of Residence Collection products in the UK.

The company manufactures Residence 9 (R9), a window and door system developed to authentically replicate 19th Century timber designs with modern materials.

Since starting to fabricate R9 windows in 2013, HWL Trade Frames has seen substantial year on year growth, supplying products for a variety of applications, including heritage, bespoke, traditional and modern building projects and refurbishments.

The virtually maintenance free solution, which is available in over 40 colour combinations, can accommodate triple or double highly efficient glazed units, with uniquely engineered ‘easy clean’ rebates, meaning windows remain looking their best with the minimum of effort.

Graham Howatson, operations director at HWL Trade Frames, commented, “R9 is a fantastic system which allows homeowners to create the look of timber windows without the maintenance issues such as rotting, peeling and rattling. We are proud to be one of only a handful of fabricators in the UK manufacturing this innovative solution.”

Katie Atkinson, area sales manager at the Residence Collection, commented, “It is great working with HWL Trade Frames. R9 offers the best of both worlds – traditional aesthetics and modern high performance. It truly is how windows were meant to be.”

Due to the success of R9, HWL Trade Frames is now manufacturing Residence 7 (R7) flush windows and doors and will soon also be fabricating Residence2 (R2), a square system that is contemporary and cool, whilst feeling comfortable and warm.
