Experts on Imperial Bricks’ stand 3/4 at Materials 2017 will help architects, specifiers and developers choose the right bricks for renovation, extension and new build.
The Materials show is on April 25-26 at the ILEC Conference Centre, London.
Imperial Bricks offers the widest range of traditional handmade, wirecut, pressed and reclamation bricks and slips available from a single supplier in the UK. Its full range of 35 bricks will be on display with special show discounts and free samples.
Complementary products on display will include Limetec hydraulic lime mortar, a ‘must’ for traditional handmade bricks, available in regional shades to suit any project. In addition, brick tinting solutions from Bebbingtons will showcase the possibilities of bespoke weathering and its suitability for matching new bricks with old ones.
Brick experts will available on the stand to help architects and developers with common problems and issues, for example sourcing the correct materials for conservation areas or on Listed buildings that require imperial-sized bricks. This includes a brick-matching service and advice on how to recognise regional variations in brick size, colour and texture and how to specify the right brick types and sizes for each project.
Imperial Bricks was able to exactly match existing brickwork on the RIBA (West Midlands) award-winning restoration of the Master’s House in Ledbury (pictured), a Country Blend mix which perfectly complemented the original heritage bricks.
“We understand the problems architects and specifiers face when trying to source reclaimed bricks or bricks that match the region, age and style of a property. Our in-house facilities can create custom blends with a reclamation finish, but with the added benefit of frost resistance, no wastage and guaranteed quality”, says Jason Hughes, Managing Director.
