IntoOutdoors, the UK’s first retail and lifestyle scheme, has begun enabling work on-site in order to prepare for the first stage of its development.

The highly anticipated scheme, which innovatively combines retail and lifestyle with leisure, is set to be completed next Autumn.

The scheme will combine an extensive 140,000sq ft retail complex set within an idyllic 125 acre Country Park with pioneering ‘try before you buy’ areas where retailers can demonstrate products to consumers before purchasing.

The preliminary work taking place includes tree-felling and knocking down of existing buildings on the site.  This initial phase will ensure that the site is on schedule to break-ground later this year.

Latest CACI research into the UK’s 60 minute drive time zones indicates that IntoOutdoors has a larger catchment area than some of the country’s busiest cities including Bristol, Nottingham, Glasgow and Exeter.  With a projected catchment spend of over £90 million per annum, IntoOutdoors is one of the most exciting new retail propositions on the market today.

Owner and developer Eagle One has ambitious plans for IntoOutdoors, combining retail, restaurants, cafes and leisure space along with 60 holiday lodges in a lakeside setting. The site adjacent to the River Avon will also have three fishing lakes, cycle routes and outdoor exhibition areas.

Simon Tothill commented: “We’re thrilled that we have commenced the initial preparation of the site and we are looking forward to commencing the major works shortly. IntoOutdoors is an innovative offer that will offer an alternative way for retailers to interact with their consumers. A physical experience where goods can be tried out before purchase in a leisure based environment designed to attract the whole family will create a full day out offer and attract custom from a wide geographical area.

Knight Frank is instructed as Development Consultants and letting agents for the scheme.
