YORKSHIRE based Harris Construction Management (hcm) has relocated to new offices at South Elmsall in Yorkshire as it continues to create jobs and win contracts across its construction, interiors, and facilities management divisions.
This month the company, which was based at Thorpe Park outside Leeds, has moved to a 7,000 square foot office suite on Elmsall Way. HCM was founded at the end of 2007 and now has a £20 million turnover and employs a team of 25.
Managing Director Jason Adlam says: “Since the start of the year we have created four new jobs and are continually recruiting in-line with our on-going expansion programme. The new office gives us three times more space, improved IT infrastructure, unlimited parking and offers easy access to the A1, M62 and M18. In addition it also offers a great layout for our individual divisions, consisting of ‘hcm projects’, ‘hcm interiors’ and ‘hcm facilities’, to thrive and forge their own identities.
“This expansion follows several key contract wins as we look to develop a five year relationship strategy with Asda whilst we are continuing to win work from lots of our established blue-chip customers including Nandos, Coca Cola and Arla Foods. In addition we have a healthy pipeline of contracts that we’re due to start later this year in the industrial, facilities management, retail and residential sectors.”
Jason adds: “Over the next 12 months hcm’s three divisions will continue to establish themselves as individual and specialist businesses. We are considering opening a London office for ‘hcm interiors’ because the company is becoming increasingly active in the capital, building a solid reputation for its work in the restaurant and prime residential sector. Plus the FM division will also grow into its own premises following the award of a national roll out of energy saving initiatives starting with CHP and LED lighting for a key client.”
hcm plans to increase turnover to £40 million and create 8 new jobs by 2014. Companies that hcm currently works for include Asda, Arla Food, Coca Cola, PepsiCo UK, Nandos and Goodman Restaurants.
