Award-winning retailer of children’s furniture, Great Little Trading Co. has chosen luxury vinyl flooring from Moduleo for its new flagship London store.
The main elements of the brief were focussed on ensuring the showroom evoked the feel of a traditional London townhouse throughout, making luxury and high-quality design vital. The designers opted for the Country Oak from the manufacturer’s Impress collection.
Laura Burnside, creative designer at Resolution Interiors, who worked on the project, comments: “Due to the heavy furniture products the in store and the general wear and tear the showroom is expected to endure, luxury vinyl flooring was the natural go-to option.
“Moduleo’s Impress collection provided the store with a realistic wood-effect product, reflective of that found in a traditional London townhouse, while offering increased durability and flooring that’s easy for staff to maintain.”
Great Little Trading Co. was founded in 1996 and provides modern British designs to help parents create inspirational spaces for their children. The brand-new 6,000 sq ft showroom in Wandsworth, London, brings the brand’s entire collection to the high street for the very first time.
David Bigland, managing director of Moduleo UK and Eire, explains: “The Great Little Trading Co. project was an exciting one to be a part of. While the showroom is an incredibly large retail space, it’s also made up of a series of smaller aspirational homely spaces, proving that our products look equally home in a commercial environment, as they do in a residential.”
The Impress collection features registered emboss and provides the ultimate in realistic and nature-inspired design, but with the added benefits of luxury vinyl such as increased durability, excellent heat and sound-insulation, and an easy-to-clean finish. Impress features five wood designs with 22 colour options, in both dryback and click.
Laura concludes: “Both the team at Resolution Interiors and the client, Great Little Trading Co. love the overall finish of the project. Luxury vinyl flooring is definitely a more cost-effective and durable alternative to real wood – especially when it comes to a retail space.”
