Wavin, the UK’s leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems, has further enhanced its commercial soil and waste offering with the launch of its new HDPE pipes and fittings range.
Wavin HDPE offers a new solution to the removal of waste water and rainwater. The system is manufactured from a high-density polyethylene, which offers enhanced toughness and durability.
Wavin HDPE also has extraordinary chemical and impact resistance, making it ideal for use in properties such as hospitals and laboratories.
To assist engineers and contractors in planning projects with BIM, Wavin has created intelligent Revit families for the Wavin HDPE range, to make designing and specifying above ground drainage systems easier.
Wavin is the only plastic piping systems manufacturer to provide content packages that allows user to build a fully accurate representation of piping system installation. This includes automatic routing preferences, a fully integrated Bill of Materials and high levels of detail and accuracy every time.
Steve Skeldon, Product Manager for Above Ground Drainage at Wavin explained: “We want to give contractors and construction industry professionals as wide a range of soil and waste solutions as possible. That’s why we’ve extended our product offering with Wavin HDPE.
“The system has already been installed in a number of commercial and residential build projects across Europe. By introducing it to the UK market, we’re offering engineers a high performance product that is both lightweight and durable, and suitable for a wide range of applications.”
The Wavin HDPE product range includes pipes and fittings with dimensions between 40mm and 315mm, and is manufactured to EN 1519. Wavin HDPE is also resistant to the effects of hot water and freezing of internal water.
The complete soil, waste and vent system of pipes and fittings complements the existing above ground range OSMA Compact – a space-saving soil and waste system. The newly expanded commercial offering also includes Wavin AS – a low noise waste water system.
