Ecobase, a company dedicated to providing energy saving and renewable solutions, is to launch its first store in Crowborough, East Sussex, on 10 September 2012.

Part of leading UK plumbing and heating merchant Plumbase, the launch of the Ecobase showroom in Crowborough will be followed by the opening of a further two stores in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, and Haslemere, Surrey, in advance of a national rollout.

The Ecobase team is fully trained to provide impartial advice on the most suitable technology from leading manufacturers, including high efficiency boilers, energy efficient radiators, solar thermal and photovoltaic (PV) as well as biomass heating systems.

In addition to offering an extensive range of renewable and energy saving solutions, Ecobase provides advice, education and training on the latest technology to assist energy savings within homes and businesses.

With government incentives, such as the already implemented Feed In Tariff (FIT) and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) that is due to launch in summer 2013, there has never been a better time to become familiar with energy saving solutions.

Alongside the government’s FIT and RHI initiatives, the Green Deal will launch in October 2012. As a Green Deal provider Ecobase will play a vital role in supporting installers to gain MCS accreditation, certified renewables training and the Green Deal quality mark, which are necessary to install renewable technologies and demonstrate compliance with Green Deal standards. Both MCS and Green Deal qualifications are imperative to ensure the end user benefits from the government’s financial initiatives.

“We take our commitment to energy saving very seriously and are proud to introduce Ecobase as a ‘one-stop shop’, providing solutions, advice, education and training for the installer and consumer,” said Plumbase Managing Director, Andy Gribble. “This will also be a useful resource for consumers to learn more when looking to make energy savings within their home or business.

“The Ecobase team gives clear and impartial advice to installers, allowing them to utilise the vast commercial opportunities arising from the government’s upcoming energy saving schemes,” he continued. “By 2020, 15 per cent of energy consumption must come from renewable sources: a target set by the government. Together with the professional installer we aim to educate the consumer to increase the spread of renewable solutions and assist in meeting this target. We hope that this new dawn in energy efficiencies will propel Britain into a new era where energy saving and renewable technologies become mainstream in every build.”

In support of the brand’s launch, Ecobase will exhibit at the Renewables Roadshow during September and October, visiting six locations throughout the UK, starting at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, West Midlands, on 13 September 2012.

The Ecobase stand (79) will present the company’s energy saving and renewables offering while providing information and advice on training and the latest technologies. Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to take part in the Ecobase Energy Challenge for the chance to win a bike, while Director of Sustainability and Renewables at Grafton Group plc, Paul Roche, will discuss
upcoming government legislation in the Green Deal Theatre.
