Since its inception in 2006, Camberley-based LED Eco Lights has grown rapidly and has recently completed its 4000th UK installation.

The company reached this significant landmark just days after its Goodlight 2D retrofit LED lamp picked up the Electrical Industry Award 2013 for Most Innovative Lighting Product.

Goodlight retrofit LED lights offer a long lifespan, very low power consumption and can provide dramatic cost savings. In fact, the company is so confident of the difference its LED lamps will make that it quotes a pay-back time of as little as 12 months. Widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading LED lighting services specialists, the company also offers free lighting audits to identify where companies can save money.

Energy efficient lighting is accepted as delivering the quickest results when companies are looking at carbon reduction initiatives. The fact that it is a very visible change, and delivers significant savings, makes it one of the most important areas to consider. Lighting typically accounts for up to 25% of a building’s energy consumption so the opportunity to reduce this by up to 85% in carbon and costs is very compelling.

Goodlight retrofit lighting couldn’t be any easier to implement. Whatever the lighting being replaced, the company’s LED lamps can simply be installed into existing fittings – as simple as replacing a bulb. The lamps have no starter or control gear, making them virtually maintenance-free. Performance is surprisingly high too: the Goodlight range switches on instantly, thereby making it an ideal partner to presence detection sensors, and provides excellent colour-rendering. Consistency and reliability are assured, with all Goodlight products covered by a comprehensive five years premium guarantee.

Goodlight retrofit LED lamps can replace tubes, spotlights, CFL PL lamps, 2D lamps, SONS, metal halides and floodlights to dramatically cut energy consumption, reduce costs and ensure compliance with the requirements of the CRC scheme. In fact, there’s a Goodlight LED solution to suit the requirements of most commercial and industrial buildings. For instance, Goodlight tubes typically consume around 70% less energy than normal fluorescent tubes. There’s no reduction in lux levels either – they’re actually increased in some cases. And, as they’ll last up to 50,000 hours, their lifespan is at least five times that of the fluorescent option.

Goodlight LED lamps and luminaires have been specified by many of the UK’s leading names including the Ministry of Defence, London Underground, Land Rover, WHSmith, British Airways, the Co-operative Food Group, Tradeteam and Pets Corner.

“We are delighted to have reached the 4000 installations milestone with demand for Goodlight LED at an all time high. We are now looking forward to doubling that figure before our 10th anniversary in two years’ time,” says Saima Shafi, LED Eco Lights’ co-founder. “We’ve put in a lot of hard work over the last eight years in developing our product range and growing our technical expertise. As a result, our Goodlight range is extremely successful and, to date, has delivered savings in excess of £22 million.”

The extensive Goodlight retrofit LED range is fitted in many warehouses, factories, cold stores, car parks, hospitals, leisure centres, and offices. Significant funding is available for many applications and carbon and cost-saving reports can be carried out before installation to demonstrate the level of savings that can be achieved.
