Hanson Formpave’s range of nine block paving products is available in new packaging, improving its sustainable credentials and reflecting its position as a leading innovator in the SUDS sector.
The new design highlights Hanson Formpave’s branding while emphasising key health and safety messages to aid safe handling by merchants, paving and landscaping contractors, and builders.
Other sustainable improvements include the introduction of lighter weight recyclable plastic to shrink wrap around the product, which does not compromise on the robustness and integrity of the product during transportation or when it is stored outside.
Paul Bidgway, Hanson Formpave’s operations manager, said: “We wanted our packaging to reinforce our role as industry pioneers and to highlight our brands strengths that we are part of Hanson UK, the country’s leading supplier of high-quality heavy building materials.
“In addition it was important to improve the packaging’s environmental credentials to reflect Hanson’s overall commitment to sustainability in all areas of its business.”
The inclusion of health and safety messages, via a series of icons, on Formpave’s new packaging is in line with the company’s approach to achieving the highest standards for customers, as well as employees. The company’s ‘Zero Harm’ approach to working safety forms a key part of its 2020 sustainability targets, which is being reflected in every aspect of its business processes.
