Upgrading facilities for staff and visitors to the E.ON headquarters in Coventry, TORMAX recently installed a prestigious 3-wing revolving entrance.
With user-friendly functionality, the contemporary door is powered by the technologically advanced Universal 5201 drive.
This high specification operator automatically captures system-specific data to ensure unchanging and safe motion control at all times.
Further improving access, TORMAX upgraded the existing swing doors either side of the main entrance. These are powered by TORMAX iMotion 1301 low energy operators that benefit from motors with no abrading parts, delivering exceptional reliability and an impressive lifespan.
E.ON is one of the UK’s leading integrated electricity and gas companies. The office building at Westwood Business Park in Coventry is home to over 1,000 employees and reflecting E.ON’s green commitments, is partly powered by the largest solar installation in the country.
A market leader, TORMAX sustainable operators are the result of over 60 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of automated entrance solutions. In addition to being energy efficient, TORMAX entrances are renowned for their exceptional reliability, significantly reducing maintenance down-time and negating the need for replacement units for many years to come.
The new E.ON revolving entrance efficiently minimises the risk of bottlenecks occurring at busy times and also helps maintain the ambient temperature of the lobby area, cutting heat lost from the building and contributing to lower energy requirements. The swing door to one side allows easy accessibility for less able staff or visitors whilst the other door is linked to the fire alarm, providing an additional emergency evacuation route.
For busy entrances where space is at a premium, revolving doors remain one of the most effective solutions,” comments Simon Roberts, MD for TORMAX.
“With aesthetics playing a key role in entrance design, the TORMAX Universal 5201 enables a reduced canopy height only allowing a minimalist entrance to be created that really adds to the aesthetics of the building façade.”
