GROHE was the first European bathroom manufacturer to offer BIM data for architects, engineers and the construction industry. Now, GROHE provides BIM data on an impressive 125 products.

GROHE continues to demonstrate its commitment to ground-breaking development in the construction sector, and now provides BIM data on 125 of its high-quality sanitary products for planners, architects and interior designers. Through the use of BIM’s 3D- data rich product models, GROHE helps architects and other design professionals identify and specify its innovative product lines.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) delivers a collaborative way of working, underpinned by the digital technologies which unlock more efficient methods of designing, creating and maintaining assets.  BIM embeds key product and asset data into a 3 dimensional computer model that can be used for effective management of information throughout a project lifecycle.

The BIM process captures and combines all relevant building data in a digital representation which is visualised in the form of a building model. Any change to the model automatically triggers updates of all relevant lists and files, which all project contributors have access to. This ensures uninterrupted availability of the latest data, resulting in a clearly improved and faster exchange of information.

Apart from boosting productivity during the planning and construction stages, BIM can also simplify the management and maintenance of the completed building throughout its lifecycle, offering long-term benefits for owners and operators.

Through BIM, GROHE has highlighted its strong partnership with the construction sector, by utilising a comprehensive, up-to-date tool for those in the industry.

Architects, planners, engineers and contractors can make wide-ranging use of BIM data when it comes to specifying products. By entering a product’s BIM data in their project, they can immediately see its effects on available space, style and decor, technical requirements and costs.

GROHE currently provides BIM data for 125 products, including its Grandera, Eurocube, Essence, Allure and Eurosmart ranges, as well as its GROHE Blue and Minta Touch taps in the kitchen.

Raj Mistry, GROHE UK Marketing Director, comments:“GROHE are delighted to offer such a varied and large range of products with available BIM data, highlighting our commitment to being at the forefront of change in the construction sector.“
