As a highly regarded manufacturer of sealants and systems for the installation of windows and façades, illbruck has acted to further support the performance of its extensive product portfolio by establishing a new selection of training modules to be delivered within its purpose-built facilities at its Wigan premises.
The courses, which will normally run for one day but which can be extended, have been developed to provide illbruck's partner contractors with valuable insights into the nature of sophisticated product systems such as the i3 system, which is often specified for PassivHaus and other commercial energy-efficient buildings.
Installers will be able to practise their skills and learn new techniques by working on the four rigs which, though domestic in scale, facilitate the application of systems normally employed on commercial projects.
Alistair Inglis of illbruck comments: "All the modules have been developed by us to reflect our expertise in a number of demanding areas, including a general introduction to high performance impregnated tapes and membranes.
Operatives will get hands-on experience of using our products as they would be used in a commercial environment. The courses will also look at specialist areas such as the illbruck projecting window system.
There is optional CPD time available while the installer companies will benefit from being able to use the illbruck ‘Assured' logo on their vans. There will also be branded workwear and ID cards available while we list approved contractors on our website."
Participation in the courses is already high though there are some places available for later in the year.
