Insulation specialist Actis will be available to discuss the merits of reflective insulation and its impact on reducing thermal bridging and improving airtightness at next month’s annual LABC Policy Conference.
The two-day conference, to be held on Monday and Tuesday March 12 and 13 at Leicester’s Marriott Hotel, will offer insight into performance standards, fire safety and LABC’s new registered details accreditation for offsite construction.
In addition to its role in the annual conference, Actis also presents technical seminars at the LABC’s monthly UK wide roadshows and is involved in the LABC Building Excellence Awards, the largest annual B2B presentations in the construction industry.
The CE marked Actis Hybris products – honeycomb insulation Hybris, insulating vapour control layer HControl Hybrid and insulating breather membrane Boost’R Hybrid - all have LABC and LABSS registered details and are accepted by NHBC Buildmark, LABC warranty and Premier Guarantee when used according to the certification.
The range has been praised by architects, builders, specifiers and installers for its cleanliness, ease and speed of installation, lack of waste, lightness and ease of transportation as well as its impressive thermal performance.
Their flexibility and ability to bend around corners and squash into gaps means HControl Hybrid and Boost’R Hybrid in particular are excellent at eliminating thermal bridging and ensuring air tightness.
Actis has also created two CPD modules on tackling the performance gap, which have proven very popular with building control officers across the British Isles, an online simulator which provides a handy guide to the kind of U-values likely to be achieved by using its products in various scenarios and a raft of how to videos.
