CA Group Limited’s MatriX Spacer System, incorporating the fully re-designed MatriX Bracket with FireWall option, has been granted CE Certification in accordance with European Technical Approval ETA 07456.
Designed, developed and fully tested in-house by CA Group’s team of engineers, the spacer system, when installed as part of a Twin-Therm or River-Therm built-up roof or wall system, is capable of achieving a market leading 240 minutes of structural integrity, as well as 120 minutes of insulation integrity, in the event of a fire.
Mark Wiper, Technical Engineering Manager, explained: “The MatriX Spacer System, which is sold as standard, raises the bar, delivering a solution unlike any other available on the market today.
"The product is an excellent example of the company’s commitment to fire prevention and its focus on innovation. We are delighted to have been granted CE Certification. We strive for excellence in everything we do and this achievement recognises the product as a market leader in its field.”
The MatriX Spacer System, when fully installed, has been subject to rigorous testing by a number of external test houses including:
- Lucideon, Stoke, for structural performance testing
- Exova Warringtonfire, for resistance to fire testing
- Sound Research Labs, Suffolk, for acoustics.
Furthermore, the product has also received certification from LPCB (LPS 1181 and LPS 1208 - Reaction to Fire & Compartmentation) and is an integral component of CA Group’s Agrément approvals for Twin-Therm and River-Therm roof and wall applications.
In addition to its compatibility with Twin-Therm® and River-Therm®, MatriX is also appropriate for use in other systems from CA Building Products, such as SolarWall and Prime Rainscreen.
