A&G claims a first with CE Marking

Acheson & Glover (A&G), a leading manufacturer of premium quality hard landscaping and pre-cast concrete products, is pleased to announce its products are in compliance with the new CE marking standard. It is the first hard landscaping manufacturer to confirm this and apply the new CE symbol to all packaging, literature and delivery dockets.

As from the 1st July, all products governed by a BSEN Standard must carry a CE mark in order to comply with new EU legislation. The new regulation was introduced to ensure products meet EU health, safety and environmental requirements and enable free movement of those products within the European market.

Managing Director Stephen Acheson says: "This is great news for A&G and our customers. Architects, contractors and merchant customers can rest assured that all our products are in compliance with the new standard. There has been a lot of discussion and anxiety in the industry about CE Marking, with pressure for suppliers and manufacturers to ensure their products comply by the required date in July. It wasn't a problem for A&G and it's great to be in a position to apply the new standard ahead of the deadline and ahead of the pack."
