The market leader in independent living solutions, AKW, has added a new addition to its stylish Luda electric shower range, expanding its appeal to a wider market.
Now available in an 8.5kW version, the Luda and Luda S new offering provides the installer with an easy fit shower solution, whilst keeping all the unique core functionality of the 10kW option.
The only electric shower designed specifically for the care market, the Luda range provides a choice of models that are safe and easy to use in a distinctive teardrop design. The 8.5kW model is quick and easy to install, avoiding the need for expensive upgrades to standard domestic wiring.

An 8.5kW version is available for both the original white Luda, which carries RNIB approval, and the equally stylish chrome and silver Luda S. Both products have many practical features, including high contrast, tactile temperature and flow buttons and thermostatic controls that are easily set to user requirements. Thanks to being waterproof to IP45 rating, the showers can be installed in the sprayhead water splash zone and IQ Smart technology, developed by AKW, offer an extra level of temperature-controlling intelligence, precisely regulate temperature levels and water supply.
For users looking for extra support or stability the Luda Care kit gives additional support in the showering area, with a, unique riser rail doubling as a grab rail capable of supporting up to 130kg, along with easy to use shower head and extended 2m shower hose ideal for assisted bathing.
Final assurance is provided through Luda’s ability to safeguard the user against adverse circumstances, such as unregulated water temperatures or pressure fluctuations.
