At this year’s Ecobuild lead sponsor Baxi (Stand N2730) is demonstrating a variety of sustainable solutions.
On display will be the Duo-tec Combi HE A domestic boiler, a high efficiency boiler which is recommended by the Energy Saving Trust. With a range of outputs it is suitable for most house types, is reliable and easy to install.
The Baxi Ecogen dual energy system is also being displayed on the Baxi stand. The system is the first domestic micro-CHP solution in the UK, generating up to 1kW of electricity while providing heating and hot water to reduce gas and electricity bills. The product is Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certified therefore eligible for the Government’s Feed-in Tariff.
Other products on show include Baxi’s solar thermal hot water system, Baxi Solarflo. This system uses solar energy to heat domestic hot water, providing up to 55 per cent of an average household’s needs in the summer. The Baxi Ambiflo Two ErP-ready air source heat pump and Baxi Bioflo free standing pellet burning boiler system will also be demonstrated at the event.
In addition, from January 1st all circulators (pumps) must comply and have an energy efficiency index (EEI) lower than 0.27. With this in mind, Interpart has introduced a new ErP ready A-class high efficiency pump to meet the regulation, which will be on display throughout the show.
Also being presented on the stand is the Heatrae Sadia MVHR, a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system, which is up to 90 per cent efficient and promises to save energy and reduce carbon emissions. The Megaflo eco solar cylinder, a market-leading hot water cylinder and the new SHRU 60 waste water heat recovery unit, which recovers heat from wastewater, will also be shown at Ecobuild.
Simon Osborne, head of product and channel management at Baxi, said: “Ecobuild gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our sustainable solutions. This is the fifth year we have been coming to Ecobuild, and each year we have seen an increased interest from installers and specifiers when it comes to low-carbon technology. Incentives and rising energy bills also mean that consumers are paying more attention to efficiency rankings and alternative heating methods, so it is vital that installers have a sound understanding of new technology. In terms of product efficiency, we are working hard to continue to create innovative and easy to install solutions.”
To support its presence at the show, Baxi has experts on hand to discuss all these elements and help installers and specifiers maximise their eco-business potential.
