Daikin Europe has extended its FTXS-K-series range of wall-mounted units to provide optimal design and comfort for a wider range of applications, including light commercial and residential use.
The new 35, 42 and 50 units join smaller models launched in 2012, which means the range can now provide high levels of comfort and energy efficiency, combined with extremely quiet operation.
Daikin products are distributed in the UK by Daikin Airconditioning UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Europe NV, and Space Airconditioning plc, the largest independent Daikin distributor.
Daikin’s wall-mounted range meets the most demanding requirements in both design and performance. The discreet and modern styling matches any interior. Their smooth curves result in an unobtrusive presence that integrates beautifully with any contemporary space. These sleek and functional units are complemented with a high quality finish in matt crystal white.
The new units in the K-series, with cooling capacities of 3.5 to 5.3kW, have the same dimensions (298mm x 900mm x 215mm). Their discharge air pattern uses the Coanda effect to direct airflow across the ceiling, thus reducing directional draughts and ensuring perfect comfort conditions in every part of the room. Additionally, the intelligent eye movement sensor can detect where people are in the room and direct the airflow away from them.
Daikin’s never-ending quest for greater efficiency means the wall mounted range delivers top performance and satisfies the latest European legislation on seasonal efficiencies, with ratings up to A++. Inverter technology adjusts the power used to match the load requirement during heating and cooling, resulting in reduced annual energy consumption and operation costs, while providing maximum comfort.
Further energy savings are realised thanks to the weekly timer and the intelligent eye. The weekly timer allows end-users to programme the operation of the unit to best suit their habits, increasing comfort and saving energy, while the intelligent eye automatically switches to economy mode, if the room is empty for 20 minutes.
The smaller wall mounted units in the K-series are designed specifically for quiet operation with sound levels of 19dB. However, even the largest unit in the range is extremely quiet, with operating sound levels of just 23dBA.
The units are easy to operate via a wireless controller or remotely via the internet. Users can access the system via smartphone, laptop, PC or tablet to monitor and control the environment remotely.
