Environmentally-friendly, top-of-the range flooring from Gerflor

Gerflor, leading the way forward in flooring as an innovator not an imitator

Bringing together the best technologies available today, Mipolam Symbioz is a top-of-the range flooring from Gerflor. It is the only abrasion group T flooring to combine the lowest weight ever for a 2mm homogeneous product. Mipolam Symbioz is an exclusive bio-based plasticiser made from 100% organic sources with 40 times lower VOC emissions than European standards and has Gerflor’s patented surface treatment. Mipolam Symbioz is ideal for use in the healthcare, education and retail industries.

Mipolam Symbioz boasts Gerflor’s Evercare™, a patented treatment, which surfaces the product with micro-structured polymer layers textured by cross-laser technology. This provides unrivalled stain and chemical resistance and brings, on average, 30% savings on maintenance costs as no wax or polish is required during the lifetime of the product and 15% less detergent and water is used.*

The new product is a highly flexible homogeneous compacted sheet floorcovering providing excellent resistance to wear in high traffic areas. Weighing just 2580gr/m² which is 20% less than standard homogeneous products, it features a non-directional design incorporating coloured chips to ensure an even colour throughout the thickness; Making Mipolam Symbioz lighter and more flexible to handle than standard products. Mipolam Symbioz comes in an exciting range of colours, from blue night to black diamond and linen to sandstone.

The environmental credentials of Mipolam Symbioz are impressive. The product contains over 75% sustainable or renewable raw materials with the bio-based plasticiser made of residues from cereals such as wheat and corn. All raw materials are available within 350km of the production site and 100% of post manufacturing waste gets recycled into new products. At the end of its life, Mipolam Symbioz is 100% recyclable. As part of Gerflor’s sustainable development policy, the product is manufactured in the first floorcovering plant awarded with the triple certification: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14 001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (safety).
