Expona doubles up on innovation

Expona, Polyflor’s world renowned Luxury Vinyl Tile brand synonymous with high design and quality has been dramatically re-launched.

With a 20 year history and global sales of over 35 million square metres, Expona is widely regarded and respected across the world. In the most exciting development in LVT for quite some time, the new Expona offer is formed of two design focussed collections across two specifications.

Expona Design PUR incorporates a 3.0mm gauge and 0.7mm wear layer, where as Expona Commercial PUR features a 2.5mm gauge and a 0.55mm wear layer. Mirroring the beauty of natural materials, each product has been developed alongside a team of global designers. Meticulously aligning the collections to today’s material trends, the extensive range of colours, materials and surface textures meet the demands of heavy commercial environments.

Form and design are the heart of the inspiration for Expona and the design options within the combined range of 83 colours are further enhanced with the availability of a collection of creative inlay accessories to emphasise or accentuate the natural floor design. For the ultimate bespoke experience architects and designers can work with the Polyflor Design Team to produce showcase patterns within the overall floor scheme. There is virtually no limit to the shapes and patterns that can be created with the help of the design service.

The development of Expona Design PUR and Expona Commercial PUR represents the next phase in the evolution of Polyflor’s LVT offer. ‘Considerable research, development and investment has been made in the new Expona collections and the design possibilities are beautifully presented in a 120 page brochure and comprehensive new presenter’ comments Tom Rollo, Polyflor’s Marketing Manager. The ranges are set out in a logical sequence in these support tools, offering a measured approach to the specification process whilst leaving scope for interpretation and imagination. ‘The end result is an innovative and technically superior range which will continue to develop Expona’s dominance in the core commercial sectors’.

The Expona ranges, along with all Polyflor’s LVT collections, are further enhanced with PUR, Polyflor’s exclusive and robust polyurethane reinforcement which is cross linked and UV cured to  provide superior cleaning benefits.

 Expona’s environmental credentials are impressive, achieving a BRE A+ rating and Indoor Air Comfort Gold, assuring that VOC emissions are below any globally determined levels.  

All Expona flooring is 100% recyclable via the Recofloor recycling scheme and contains an average of 40% recycled content. Polyflor supports the objective of sustainable building and has produced an Environmental Product Declaration for Expona Design PUR & Expona Commercial PUR, which are available upon request.
