F. Ball and Co. Ltd., the UK’s leading manufacturer of flooring adhesives and subfloor preparation products, has developed Stopgap 460 Exterior Repair, a specialist product for repairing external floors prior to the application of Stopgap 850 Exterior smoothing compound.
The new repair mortar has been specially designed for use in damp conditions and has excellent freeze/thaw resistance when used in external environments.
Stopgap 460 is the latest addition to the Stopgap high performance range from F. Ball and can be used for the non structural repair of lower strength concrete elements such as floor screeds, concrete paving slabs, balcony edges and stair treads, as well as being suitable for producing gradient ramps.
The fast setting water-mix product, which has a walk-on time of just 60 minutes and can be covered after just 24 hours, can be used in applications between 3–50mm and helps contractors achieve a surface that is free from cracks and imperfections, ready for the application of Stopgap 850 Exterior smoothing compound.
As well as providing a specialist solution for the repairing of external surfaces, Stopgap 460 Exterior Repair is highly moisture tolerant making it suitable for internal applications in damp areas prior to the application of Stopgap waterproof surface membranes. Furthermore, the product is also low odour and has a protein free formulation, making it ideal for use in biologically sensitive areas.
