Continuing to surprise when it comes to product range innovation, the new Allura Form from Forbo Flooring Systems, proves a step away from traditional luxury vinyl tile (LVT) ranges.
This exciting new extension brings an opportunity to experiment with the latest on trend ‘form’ elements to create different design styles and effects.
“Reflecting contemporary and emerging trends, the groundbreaking collection extends the core Allura concept with new shapes, bigger sizes, and the popular mix and match modularity format, as well as an earthy neutral palette and novel patterns. These distinctive themes and shapes are sure to inspire new floor design concepts in traditional LVT markets such as hospitality, leisure and retail,” Fleur Carson, Key Account Manager at Forbo Flooring Systems explains.
“Every collection element within Allura Form will trigger fresh, exciting ideas, helping our customers create floor designs that are contemporary, unique, and practical.”
At the heart of this new extension, is the ability for specifiers and end users to combine leading-edge design with Allura’s proven practicality and modular formats, helping to inject fluidity and style. Whilst every aspect of Allura Form is exclusive to Forbo, developed entirely by its in-house design team so each pattern and shape is completely original.
Highlights of the collection include Allura Form Square tile, an oak design that is cut diagonally, so the grain runs at 90 degrees to create a beautiful parquet and inlaid flooring effect. The design draws its inspiration from the richly appointed interiors of the great European stately homes of the 18th and 19th centuries and the Art Deco era of the 1920s and ’30s - uniquely classic with a modern twist, Square is about the reinterpretation of past and present.
The ability to produce triangle-shaped vinyl tiles is technically very challenging and demands absolute precision. Forbo’s development in this area and its sophisticated cutting process has created a design that both seduces and surprises. Triangle comprises two contrasting smooth, fine grain wood, that produces a bold and striking statement based on differing designs, and monochromatic floor coverings with a signature look.
The expressive harlequin styles and 3-dimensional effects are just some of the possibilities established from the new Allura Form Diamond tile. Providing captivating optical illusions, there are four colours to choose from, all of which can be mixed and matched with each other – providing endless combination possibilities.
The modular concept is also present in the Allura Form Stone design. Available in three sizes up to a maximum of one metre by one metre, Stone Dimensions is a neutral, natural-stone-look tile that is perfect for high-end retail concepts, cool office environments and similar spaces. By mixing and matching the different tile sizes, specifiers can create a subtle sense of movement and flow to the floor space, or simply use the biggest size to create a floor whose impact is felt as much as seen.
Finally, Oak XL is more than just a larger version of the popular plank-shaped LVT – it is a supersized beauty with a new level of realism that is ideal for mixing and matching. The versatile multi-width offering is available in a choice of five colours.
The new Allura products follow in the footsteps of the standard LVT range and are built around a glass fleece to provide enhanced dimension stability, while the calandered production method gives Allura tiles their extra- strong character. Meanwhile, the high quality PU lacquering ensures an even longer lasting performance without the need for initial or intermediate treatment. Lastly, Allura Form complies with AgBB and REACH.
