Garador, the only up and over door manufacturer to be included in the police scheme ‘Secured by Design’, has reported a huge interest in its specialist Guardian Range of high security doors.
This ‘Secured by Design’ flagship initiative from the UK police, is supporting the principles of 'designing out crime' and Garador are proud to be the only manufacturer of Garage Doors that meet the standard.
Garador’s Guardian Range of doors are proving particularly popular with large building groups and local authorities responsible for providing safe and secure housing, and Garador has already obtained a couple of large contracts for the next two years.
The Guardian Range of doors, currently encompassing the redesigned Carlton and Horizon doors, has undergone rigorous tests which are mandatory to assure they really will stand up to the test that criminals may adopt in their attempts to break in to steal garage contents or gain access to other parts of properties.

Secured by Design focuses on crime prevention of homes and commercial premises and promotes the use of security standards for a wide range of applications and products. The principles have been proven to achieve a reduction of crime risk by up to 60%, by combining standards of physical security and well-tested principles of natural surveillance and defensible space.
