Architects working on their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will welcome the latest CPD seminar from BAL. The market leader in tiling adhesives and grouts has added ‘Specifying For Natural Stone’ to its popular range of RIBA-approved seminars.
The 45-minute seminar covers: various types of stone and their characteristics; causes of problems associated with natural stone; avoidance of common installation problems and the impact of backgrounds and substrates on adhesive and grout specification. It shows the importance of optimum product specification and gives guidance on best practice, helping architects to specify natural stone tiling with confidence.
‘Specifying For Natural Stone’ is the fourth BAL CPD module created for architects and specifiers. It joins modules on problem solving with tiling solutions and on specifying tiling works in leisure facilities and in heavily trafficked areas. All four seminars have been approved by RIBA, which requires chartered members to complete at least 35 hours of accredited CPD each year, split between a core curriculum and other relevant subjects.
BAL CPD seminars, created specifically for architects, are also highly relevant for designers, contractors and other specifiers. Further information can be obtained by email to training@bal-adhesives.com or by calling 01782 591120.
