National building services provider EIC has won a series of mechanical and electrical maintenance contracts worth more than £1m with property agent DTZ, part of UGL Services, a division of UGL Limited (ASX: UGL).
EIC will be providing reactive mechanical, electrical and building fabric repairs services for 16 commercial and leisure use properties in the Midlands, and a further mixed-use development in Middlesex. The maintenance work, which will be carried out over a three-year period, will include the buildings’ lighting and power, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, fire alarm and building management systems.
These latest contracts follow on from EIC’s successful delivery of a reactive mechanical and electrical contract for three DTZ managed properties in Manchester – the Alexandra, an office and residential development in Salford Quays; Aegon House in the city centre and the security lodge, shower block and maintenance workshops of Heywood Distribution Park in Rochdale.
Ian Lyall, managing director at EIC said: “We are delighted to be continuing our working relationship with DTZ and to have seen our initial contract expanded into new geographic areas.
“The commercial property market continues to be extremely competitive so it is great to have the opportunity to demonstrate how the specialist knowledge and expertise of the EIC team can give peace of mind for customers’ maintenance requirements.
The DTZ contract will be managed from EIC’s national FM headquarters at Alcester, and delivered by local teams in the regions. DTZ will have access to EIC’s 24/7 customer contact centre.
Clive Chippindale, associate director in DTZ’s facilities management team, said: “At DTZ we take our outsourcing procurement process very seriously, only partnering with organisations that have a strong track record and take a professional approach to managing our business.
“We have been particularly impressed with the professionalism and dedication of the team at EIC who have gone out of their way to understand our requirements and deliver first-class results.”
In addition to its national headquarters in Warwickshire, EIC has a network of nine regional offices across the UK - from Cornwall to Scotland – enabling the firm to meet the needs of both local and national customers, wherever they are located.
