Gerflor, a French-based flooring specialist that provides solutions across all markets, has launched Creation, which is a new, stylish and recyclable floor-covering range specially designed for commercial spaces.
This product range is made up of luxury glue-down tiles and planks for areas that must withstand a large footfall.
Today's floor coverings used in retail outlets, hotels, leisure facilities, offices and reception areas are subject to a large amount of traffic, which is a potential source of deterioration. To respond to this problem, as well as architects' and designers' requests for stylish products, Gerflor has designed Creation, a new range of stylish luxury-vinyl glue-down tiles and planks designed for service-sector spaces that attract an important footfall.
Specifically designed for busy commercial spaces, the aesthetically appealing Creation range features more than 90 realistic wood and mineral finishes in a wide array of formats, grains and colours. Many of the planks and tiles have a bevelled edge for an extra-realistic finish.
The Creation range provides improved hygiene and is easy to maintain, thanks to PUR+, a polyurethane-surface treatment. The flooring also has a wear layer of 0.7mm, with an overall thickness of 2.5mm for added durability, yet it is 100% recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly option.
Gerflor's modern flooring solution is based around three decorative stylistic trends that are split into seven unique design effects, enabling clients to create stylish interiors, which will enhance any new or existing commercial building.
The three trends are named Urban, Authentic and Nature. Urban draws its inspiration from the unique atmosphere of London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. The trend includes conventional, structured, rodded and bush-hammered concrete, as well as a new concept — concrete strips in contrasting hues. Ideal for commercial outlets and offices, the Urban trend consists of square (or rectangular) tiles and planks in 23 different finishes that give a city-like feel to a commercial space.
Authentic is a sober trend that focuses on the essentials, illustrated by the use of woods such as oak, beech and walnut. The Authentic range consists of square (or rectangular) tiles and planks in 32 different finishes to equip various types of professional premises, especially retail outlets.
The Nature range gives priority to the stark Scandinavian look, using mineral and plant materials, and playing with marble and aged-concrete effects, such as weathered painted wood, which creates an understated and timeless stylishness. The Nature line is based on 34 different finishes with square (or rectangular) tiles and planks that enhance any type of commercial space.
The seven design effects of the Creation solution include Creation Mix, which provides planks (available in three different widths) for a realistic parquet effect; Creation Paint, which uses raw wood for a natural effect; Creation Jean's Spirit, which creates a denim finish on a wooden plank; Creation Contrast, which shuns uniformity; Creation Concrete, which brings concrete to the forefront; Creation X-tra Long Effect, which features more than 1,300mm of realistic-finished flooring; and, finally, Piano Finish, which provides a glossy effect.
