Temporary structures specialist Neptunus has signed two three-year contracts to supply the Frieze Art Fair and Frieze Masters exhibition with 30,000 sq m of temporary exhibition space annually.
Taking place every October in London’s Regents Park, Frieze Art Fair features over 170 of the most exciting contemporary art galleries in the world. The fair also includes specially commissioned artists’ projects, a prestigious talks programme and an artist-led education schedule.
The works of art will be showcased in Neptunus Alu Halls within the grounds of Regents Park. The Frieze Art Fair will be located in a vast 20,000 sq m Alu Hall complex containing the main entrance, exhibition halls, café, sponsors area, press room and auditoriums.
For the first time this year, the organisers will be running Frieze Masters, which will exhibit approximately 70 of the world’s leading galleries, displaying antiquities and old masters to art of the 20th century. Also based within Regents Park, the second 10,000 sq m Alu Hall will form the Frieze Masters exhibition halls and sponsors area.
Working closely with 20-20 Events, who are appointed by Frieze to manage the infrastructure installation, Neptunus will construct both Alu Halls within a limited time frame whilst taking care to protect the Regents Park site. After the event, the structures will be dismantled without trace.
Neptunus’ Alu Hall is well suited to events like the Frieze Art Fair and Frieze Masters. As a multipurpose, clear span structure, available in a multitude of widths, the Alu Hall provides a modern and versatile space to contain a combination of exhibition space and facilities.
“We're excited to be working with Neptunus in the 10th year of Frieze Art Fair and the inaugural year of Frieze Masters,” comments Louise Dixon, Production Director.
“Neptunus are market leaders in temporary structures and have extensive experience across Europe - their constant strive for innovation and commitment to quality, promises to deliver unique bespoke structures that meet our needs as one of the world's leading art fairs.”
